City of Savannah crews are working this afternoon to remove a large oak tree that crashed into a home on Washington Avenue.
City spokesman Bret Bell said workers will be in the area of the 1500 block of Washington for several hours to clear the tree that belonged to the city. A portion of that road, next to Daffin Park, has been blocked to traffic.
Little other information was immediately available about the incident, he said.
