Mighty Eighth hosts toy, food drive
The Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum is hosting a toy and food drive this holiday season to benefit local families in need. All donations can be brought to the museum seven days a week during business hours of 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Food donations will benefit America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia. Second Harvest is in need of non-perishable food items that are unopened and labeled. Donated food must be received no later than Dec. 21. Toy donations should be new and unwrapped. All collected toys will be donated to local military families, as well as Operation Homefront Georgia, a nonprofit that provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of service members and wounded warriors. Christmas with a Capital ‘C’
7-9 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, through Dec. 16. Savannah Christian Church, 55 Al Henderson Blvd. “Christmas with a Capital ‘C’” is a musical being presented now through Dec. 16 by the Savannah Christian Church drama ministry. The production centers around the people in a fictional town called Trapper Falls, where Christmas has long been rich in common traditions until an attorney returns home and demands that the nativity scene and the very word “Christmas” be banished. Tickets are $5 each, with a $20 maximum per family, and are available at the SCC’s The Source bookstore and at the door. For more information, go to www.savannahchristian.com.

CinemaSavannah presents ‘Reclaimed’
5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Dec. 14. Muse Arts Warehouse. CinemaSavannah will screen “Reclaimed” at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Dec. 14 at Muse Arts Warehouse. Director Slawomir Fabicki’s little-seen feature debut was a Jury Prize winner at Cannes Festival and Poland’s entry for an Academy Award as Best Foreign Film. Tickets are $7, cash only. Bingo night in Bloomingdale
7 p.m. Dec. 14. Bloomingdale Community Center, 205 Moore St. Bingo night will be Dec. 14 at the Bloomingdale Community Center. There are cash prizes and concessions available. All proceeds benefit the Bloomingdale History Museum. For more information, call 912-856-3002.

December Nights and Holiday Lights
Dusk-9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights through Dec. 23. Bamboo Farm and Coastal Gardens, 2 Canebrake Road. Join us for 11 nights as we illuminate the gardens with holiday lights and music. All proceeds will go to fund the Children’s Garden at the Bamboo Farm. $5 per person.

Mistletoe and a Trolley
Old Savannah Tours will present a holiday-themed trolley tour starting at 6 p.m. Thursday-Sunday evenings through Dec. 23. Guests are invited to enjoy a leisurely two hours punctuated by carol singing as they are whisked to the enchanting sights of holiday season in Savannah: The Unitarian Church, the Forsyth Park Christmas Tree and The Westin’s Gingerbread Village. Reservations are recommended. Cost for adults is $25 and $8 for children between the ages of 6 and 11. Multiple Sclerosis Support Group

December art show at the JEA
Dec. 2 through Dec. 31. Jewish Educational Alliance, 5111 Abercorn St. The JEA will feature the works of Nancy Hudson, Rebecca Hudson, Comer Meadows and Jennifer Meadows during the month of December. There will be a reception Dec. 2 from 4-6 p.m.

S.P.A.C.E. Session I Visual Arts Classes and Workshops Now Registering
S.P.A.C.E. Studios, 9 West Henry St. City of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs is now registering students for Session I classes and workshops. Day and evening sessions are offered for children, teens, and adults in all skill levels. Sessions began Jan. 7 and run through Feb.15. Three week and six week classes are available, as well as weekend workshops. Visual arts sessions include ceramics, metals, glass, fibers, jewelry, painting and drawing. Class fees include instruction, use of studio space, use of equipment and all materials and tools required.
