SCAD Museum of Art celebrates the holidays
10 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 15. SCAD Museum of Art. Revel in the spirit of the season at the SCAD Museum of Art. Join Santa Claus and his elves from 1-3 p.m. for cookies, hot chocolate and holiday tunes. The public also is invited to explore the expanded museum with free admission between 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Free holiday movies at the Trustees Theater

Broughton St. Enjoy a free screening at 3 p.m. of the new holiday film “Arthur Christmas” in 3-D at Trustees Theater, followed by the campy classic “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” at 7 p.m. Doors open one hour before show time of each screening, and complimentary popcorn and refreshments will be served.
Victorian Christmas Gaslight Tours

Latin Festival of Our Lady of Guadalupe
11:30 a.m.-midnight. Dec. 15. The Latin Festival of Our Lady of Guadalupe will begin at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 15, and last until midnight, at the soccer field at Cantyre and Barnsley roads. It will feature live music, games, piñatas, folklore, food, raffles, a mechanical bull, grease pole and kids entertainment, including Santa, balloons, face painting and games. Annual Christmas Ball
Dec. 15. American Legion Post 135 Ballroom, 1108 Bull St. The American Legion Post 135 Auxiliary presents the annual Christmas Ball on Dec. 15. There will be music by the John Brown Band, dancing and a cash bar. There is a dress code of a coat and tie. Tickets are $12 per person in advance and $15 at the door.
A.E. Beach High Class of 1957 meeting

Christmas with a Capital ‘C’
7-9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, through Dec. 16. Savannah Christian Church, 55 Al Henderson Blvd. “Christmas with a Capital ‘C’” is a musical being presented through Dec. 16 by the Savannah Christian Church drama ministry. The production centers around the people in a fictional town called Trapper Falls, where Christmas has long been rich in common traditions until an attorney returns home and demands that the nativity scene and the very word “Christmas” be banished. Toure de Lights Bike Parade
5 p.m. Dec. 15. A-J’s Dockside Restaurant, 1315 Chatham Ave., Tybee Island. Light up your bikes and homes and come to Tybee Island for a night of holiday fun! The Toure de Lights event will kick off at A-J’s Dockside with a bike line-up and awards ceremony, with prizes for the best bike and home decorations. The Toure de Lights parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. at A-J’s Dockside and end at Marlin Monroe’s. Registration forms are available at A-J’s and Tim’s Beach Gear. All event proceeds benefit the Rising Tyde Community Food Pantry. The cost is $10. Cash or checks accepted; make checks payable to Rising Tyde Community Food Pantry.
Master gardener class forming
A new master gardening class is forming and set to begin Jan. 22 and continue Tuesdays and Thursdays until April 4. The class time will be from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and most classes will be in Lake Mayer’s community room. Registration is now being accepted by Dave Linvill, Chatham County extension agent. 5K Celebration Run

The 5K Celebration Run will be at 9 a.m. Dec.15 at Savannah State University, beginning and ending at Wright Stadium and winding through campus. This rapidly growing, timed community run will provide technical T-shirts for runners and awards for category winners. Men, women, children and jogging strollers are all invited to participate. SkateFest
Through Jan. 6. Savannah Civic Center. SkateFest, the yearly public ice skating event at the Savannah Civic Center, runs daily through Jan. 6. With three to six public skating sessions daily, SkateFest is convenient for everyone. Each session is 90 minutes long. SkateFest is closed on Christmas. Admission is $7 per person for skaters and spectators. Skate rental is included in the admission fee.
Savannah Reindeer Run/Walk 8K
9 a.m. Dec. 15. Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. The Savannah International Trade and Convention Center proudly presents the Savannah Reindeer Run/Walk 8K and Chili Cook-Off at 9 a.m. Dec. 15 to benefit the Rape Crisis Center.
