Empty stocking: Abandoned mom hopes to make her children smile

Two years ago, Erin’s husband left. He was dealing with addiction issues, and believed he was no longer fit to take care of Erin or their four children. So he moved on.

She has twice needed major surgeries, which has made it nearly impossible to hold down a job.

Still, Erin hasn’t given up hope. She believes better days are ahead as long as she has faith in God and love for her children. Her biggest wish is to see them smile on Christmas; she will have a tough time without the generosity of others.

The Empty Stocking Fund was created to help lift the spirits of children who are living in difficult circumstances in our community. Contributions will be acknowledged in the manner requested by donors.
