Christmas with a Capital ‘C’
7-9 p.m. Dec. 16. Savannah Christian Church, 55 Al Henderson Blvd. “Christmas with a Capital ‘C’” is a musical being presented Dec. 16 by the Savannah Christian Church drama ministry. The production centers around the people in a fictional town called Trapper Falls, where Christmas has long been rich in common traditions until an attorney returns home and demands that the nativity scene and the very word “Christmas” be banished. Seeing Savannah: Lyn Bonham’s View of Citizen Advocacy
Though Dec. 16. Jepson Center for the Arts. Savannah photographer Lyn Bonham has been photographing fine art portraits, family relationships and weddings for the past 25 years. Her images capture the emotion of a moment shared between two people. Her vision invites the viewer to share real-life experiences. The exhibit will feature several of Lyn’s black-and-white portraits of Savannahians involved in citizen advocacy relationships.
I Am the Beloved Community: Story Quilts of Our Savannah
Through Dec. 16. Jepson Center for the Arts. Organized by Loop It Up Savannah of the West Broad Street YMCA, this exhibition is a collection of neighborhood story quilts made by the children of the West Broad Street YMCA, Boys and Girls Club of the Coastal Empire and the seniors of the City of Savannah Hudson Hill Golden Age Center and documented by international students from the Savannah College of Art and Design English as a Second Language Department.
