The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a Rincon man wanted on multiple charges.

Ronnie Williams, 25, is wanted for several outstanding charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, fleeing and attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, sale of cocaine and several other charges, Effingham County Sheriff’s Office spokesman David Ehsanipoor said.

Ehsanipoor said some of the charges against Williams followed a Sunday night incident involving Williams driving a vehicle reported stolen out of Savannah that included a pursuit by Effingham County deputies.

“A deputy tried to pull over a vehicle Sunday night that Williams was driving with three or four males inside,” Ehsanipoor said.

Williams and passengers jumped from the car and got away on foot after the car crashed into a fence, Ehsanipoor said.

A semi-automatic handgun that was in Williams’ possession and dropped at the scene was reported stolen out of Cobb County, Ehsanipoor said.

“Williams has an extensive criminal history and investigators believe he is armed and dangerous,” Ehsanipoor said. “Williams has been known to frequent the Savannah area and Effingham County. His last known address was at 511 W. 9th Street in Rincon.”

Williams also failed to appear in Effingham County Superior Court on May 31 on charges of sale of cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.

Anyone with information on Williams’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office at 912-754-3449 or Crime Stoppers in Savannah at 912-234-2020.
