Three teenagers were arrested earlier this week after picking up a package containing more than ten pounds of marijuana at a Savannah post office.
Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team agents, working with U.S. Postal Service investigators, intercepted a suspicious package heading to Savannah, said Gene Harley, CNT spokesman.
After obtaining a search warrant, agents opened the package and found the drugs.
Agents established a surveillance operation around the post office where the suspects were to pick up the package, Harley said. There, agents arrested 19-year-old Tashard Orr, of Savannah, after he picked up the parcel.
Orr was charged with a felony count of trafficking marijuana. Agents also arrested 18-year-olds Terrance Sheffield Jr. and Monique Orr. The 18-year-olds were both charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana.
