Alive in Savannah
Dec. 29-31. Grand Prize Park, Hutchinson Island. The community is invited to attend Alive in Savannah, a three-day, family-friendly event featuring a fitness competition, relay races, live music, inflatables, a rock climbing wall, 5K, 10K and ¼ mile races, and more. The festivities begin on Saturday, Dec. 29 and culminate with a New Year’s Eve celebration on Monday, Dec. 31. All events will take place at Grand Prize Park on Hutchinson Island, and tickets are $25-$60. For more information and to register, go to www.aliveinsavannah.com.

Genealogy Class Forming
10-11:30 a.m. Jan.17-March 7. Southwest Chatham Library. Join us for this free, comprehensive 8-week program which will give you the skills to create a step by step work plan to research your family history and enable you to leave a lasting legacy for your descendants. December art show at the JEA
Dec. 2 through Dec. 31. Jewish Educational Alliance, 5111 Abercorn St. The JEA will feature the works of Nancy Hudson, Rebecca Hudson, Comer Meadows and Jennifer Meadows during the month of December. There will be a reception Dec. 2 from 4-6 p.m.

Hospice Savannah Art Gallery hosts Lori Keith Robinson and Jan Pagratis
November through December. The Hospice Savannah Art Gallery, 1352 Eisenhower Drive. A show of new paintings by local favorites Lori Keith Robinson and Jan Pagratis, the former co-owners of Chroma Gallery, voted best gallery in Savannah eight years running, will be on display during November and December, 2012.

Prosperity Classes
9 a.m. Begins Jan. 8. The Center for Spiritual Living, 109 East 52nd St. The Center for Spiritual Living, Savannah is pleased to begin its academic schedule. Our new classes are based on the book: “Spiritual Economics” by Eric Butterworth. Space is limited to 10 students per class to maximise the learning experience for all. The book is available online at Amazon.com and we will also have copies available to purchase on the first night of class if you email a request for a copy. An evening class will also be offered beginning Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. The cost is $160 for eight sessions. This class is suitable for ages 18 and up. For more information, call 912-335-1905.
