Thanks to the band's loyal Savannah following and a killer music video, local rock outfit CUSSES has just won video play on MTV.
On Friday afternoon, mtvU announced that CUSSES received the most votes in its latest round of The Freshmen, a contest in which emerging artists compete for play on air.
With more than 100,000 votes cast, CUSSES edged out competitors including Drew32 and The Dead Ships for first place.
"Cusses pulled out the victory in the end," the network said, "and their eerie video for ‘Don’t Give In’ will be added into rotation next week. Congrats to the band and their passionate hometown of Savannah for helping to push them over the edge."
