SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) — A metro Atlanta woman is donating her NFC championship football tickets to raise money for a scholarship fund in memory of her son.

WSB-TV (http://bit.ly/Vhd4z3 ) reports Ann Bishop, of Sandy Springs, is selling $40 raffle tickets for a pair of tickets on the 50-yard line. Bishop told the television station she is trying to raise $100,000 to establish a scholarship fund in the name of her son, Miller Conn.

Conn attended the University of Georgia and left school to join the Army. After serving, Conn died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Bishop says she wanted something positive to come of her son's death, and plans to donate proceeds to Kids Chance for Georgia. The organization provides educational funding for children of Georgians who have suffered work-related injuries.
