A Savannah man today was indicted on murder and related charges in the October slaying one man in a drug-related incident and the slaying within days of a witness to the slaying.
Eddieard Konta Greene, 23, was indicted on murder charges in the Oct. 23 slaying of Freddie Jackson, 33, and, four days later of Laura Dowdy, 48.
The indictment also identifies Greene by his alias, Dwayne Karlton Greene.
The 17-count indictment returned by the Chatham County grand jury also charged Greene with aggravated assault and related charges in the non-fatal shooting of Jackson’s female companion, Kendra Hayes, 25, in the earlier incident.
The indictment, obtained by Assistant District Attorney Frank Pennington II, stemmed from the Oct. 23 shooting death of Jackson after he and Greene quarreled outside of 2205 1/2 Bulloch St. over a $20 crack cocaine deal.
