The Republican governor will be making the annual address to lawmakers Thursday at 11 a.m. It's a chance for Deal to outline his legislative priorities toward the beginning of the General Assembly's annual 40-day session.
Deal will also release his new budget plan to state lawmakers. Georgia is slowly recovering from a deep recession that prompted big spending cuts over the last several years.
More budget cuts are expected. Tax collections have been lower than expected and Deal has ruled out raising taxes.
