A 17-year-old and two juveniles have been arrested after one of the youths was seen breaking into a car.
The car owner reported seeing a black youth and a white youth running from the scene on Waterstone Circle about 11:45 p.m. Monday, said Julian Miller, Savannah-Chatham police spokesman.
A West Chatham patrol officer stopped Tarrus Randle, 17, and two others, age 16 and 15, nearby. All three had stolen items with them, Miller said.
Randle was charged with public drunkeness and theft by receiving. The 16-year-old was charged with two counts of entering auto. And the 15-year-old was charged with curfew violation and theft by receiving.
West Chatham Precinct detectives continue to investigate.
