Quick response by Savannah-Chatham police West Chatham Precinct patrol officers with help from the public landed three suspects in custody after the robbery of a Burger King on Sunday morning.

Sequoia Tinae Carter, 20, of Riverdale, Stephanie Strait, 36, of a Price Street address, and Roy Lewis Larkin Jr., 20, of Laurel Green Court, each were charged with armed robbery of the restaurant in the 4200 block of Ogeechee Road about 9 a.m., said Julian Miller, police spokesman.

Patrol officers were alerted to the robbery and arrived in the front and rear of the restaurant as the three suspects were driving away in a red Saturn. Passersby pointed out the car and its location. Police followed the car until it stopped behind a nearby business and took the suspects into custody. The money and a weapon were recovered.

Larkin was identified as the gunman who walked in the business and robbed it. Carter was an employee of the restaurant and Strait drove the getaway vehicle.

Violent Crimes detectives from metro's robbery unit continue to investigate.
