Cirque du Soleil is coming to Savannah.
From May 7-9, the world-famous acrobatic and operatic act will present a series of 7:30 p.m. performances at the Civic Center as part of its "Quidam" tour. Tickets, which start at $35, will go on sale Feb. 15 at www.cirquedusoleil.com/quidam and www.savannahcivic.com.
"Quidam" had its world premiere in Montreal under the Big Top in April 1996. Since then, the production has toured on five continents and been experienced by millions of people. The international cast features 52 world‐class acrobats, musicians, singers and characters.
From a group of 20 street performers at its beginnings in 1984, Cirque du Soleil is now a major Quebec‐based organization providing high‐quality artistic entertainment. The company has 5,000 employees, including more than 1,300 performing artists from close to 50 different countries.
