Armstrong Atlantic State University announces the highly anticipated performer for the annual Campus Union Board Big Show concert — "American Idol" season 11 winner Phillip Phillips.

Phillips’ debut album, “The World from the Side of the Moon,” released in November 2012, topped the Billboard rock album chart and quickly earned Gold Record status.

Phillips will perform at Armstrong’s Fine Arts Center, 11935 Abercorn St., on April 7, doors opening at 6:30 p.m., with opening act Churchill. Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 16 and can be purchased from the Armstrong Box Office or online via Vendini.

Phillips auditioned for "American Idol" during the show's visit to Savannah.

The Denver-based band Churchill will provide the opening act for Phillips. Churchill is best known for their hit single “Change,” which quickly became a Billboard top seller upon release.

For more information on ticket sales, call the Armstrong Box Office at 912-344-2801, or visit the Armstrong Box Office web page.
