VALDOSTA, Ga. (AP) — Police in south Georgia say five people have been arrested in connection with a church burglary and arson.
The Valdosta Daily Times (http://bit.ly/XA73yO ) reports police tracked items stolen from a church to a pawn shop in Valdosta. An investigation led police to arrest 23-year-old Martavius Davis and 27-year-old Relandall Samuel. The men are charged with arson, burglary and vandalism to a place of worship in connection with the Christmas day arson and burglary at the Ousley Road Church of God in Christ.
Police say 22-year-old Archie Cone, 25-year-old Kelle Lawrence and 20-year-old Jessica McKeitchen have been charged with theft by receiving stolen property. It is unclear if they have attorneys.
Lowndes County Sheriff Chris Prine says the investigation is ongoing.
