BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) — Brunswick city officials are planning a town hall meeting to hear concerns from residents after the killing of a toddler, who was gunned down as his mother walked him down a city sidewalk.
The Brunswick News reports (http://bit.ly/ZxBcLQ) that the meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the community along Georgia's coast.
City Commissioner Cornell Harvey said the meeting will be a chance for the public to come together, voice concerns and get answers from law enforcement officials handling the case.
The toddler, 13-month-old Antonio Santiago, was killed March 21 in a shooting that also wounded his mother, Sherry West. Two teenagers are facing murder charges in the crime, which authorities have described as an attempted robbery.
