Take A Soldier Fishing
7 a.m. April 6. Lake Mayer. Chatham County Park Services is proud to partner with Bass Anglers Plus Inc. for the third annual Take A Soldier Fishing Wounded Warrior Bass Tournament on April 6 at Lake Mayer. Anglers take members from each branch of the military fishing in a catch-and-release tournament beginning at 7 a.m. with a weigh-in at 1:30 p.m. This year’s event will also include “Walk For A Vet” to raise money for our local Disabled American Veterans. Zombie Paintball Apocalypse
5 p.m. April 6. Hoppers Paintball, 1579 Grove Point Road. Hoppers Paintball Airsoft & Shady Pines Kennels will host a Zombie Paintball Apocalypse on April 6, with the gates opening at 5 p.m. There is a $10 admission fee and $10 fee to shoot zombies in the woods at night. The fun will go on until 10 p.m. The grill will be fired up and food and beverages will be available for a minimal donation. Proceeds benefit the American Diabetes Association Kiss-a-Pig campaign. International Festival

Coastal Savannah Writing Project spring workshops

Summer Art Camp open registration
The city of Savannah’s Department of Cultural Affairs is now accepting registrations for Summer Art Camp, which is from June 3 to Aug. 9. Eight camp sessions will be offered for children, providing an introduction to painting, ceramics, jewelry, mixed media and performing arts in age-appropriate group settings. Summer Art Camp takes place at DCA Studios at 9 W. Henry St. Sessions one and nine are introductory half-day camps open to children ages 4-6. These sessions are available from 9 a.m.-noon June 3-7 and Aug. 5-9. Half-day camp fees are $85 per child. Sessions two-eight are one-week, full-day sessions open to children ages 6-12. Tybee Arts Association to perform ‘Til Beth Do Us Part’

The Tybee Arts Association Performing Society has scheduled its first play of the year, a comedy on the perils of being too busy and delegating too much, “Til Beth Do Us Part.” Friday and Saturday evening performances start at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees start at 3:30 p.m. Doors open 30 minutes before seating for socializing and viewing the art on display. Boys & Girls Clubs summer program registration
Registration for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Empire Summer Program is now in progress. The Boys & Girls Club summer program is offered at two sites; the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club at 510 E. Charlton St. and the Kayton-Frazier Boys & Girls Club at 801 Brewer St. The programs will run from June 10-Aug. 2 for children in kindergarten up to age 12. Hours of operation for the Frank Callen club are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday; cost is $120 per child and $130 for new members. The Kayton–Frazier unit will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; cost is $2 for current and new members. Lunch and dinner are served daily at both locations. Walk for a Vet

Walk for a Vet will raise money for Disabled American Veterans, an organization that has been dedicated to a single purpose: Building better lives for America’s disabled veterans and their families. New roller derby team
