ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Event organizers are looking at security procedures around Georgia following the bombings at the Boston Marathon.

In Athens, home to events including University of Georgia football games and graduation ceremonies, campus police chief Jimmy Williamson says the bombings will prompt a review of security plans.

Williamson says events like what happened in Boston always make security officials assess their own situations.

The Athens Banner-Herald (http://bit.ly/107SXBJ) reports campus police already have increased security at Georgia football games in recent years. Past changes include more security cameras and bomb-sniffing dogs.

Williamson says security planning is all about minimizing the risk of an attack.
