Performance by Jessica Scott Felder
2 p.m. May 4. Telfair Academy. The artist will present a short performance site-specific to the galleries and period rooms of the Telfair Academy. Rather than a seated performance, the audience will follow the artist from the Rotunda to the period rooms to the sculpture gallery. In her performance art, Jessica Scott-Felder becomes a catalyst for altering the social dynamic of a space. Every aspect of her presence is considered important to the work, from the details within the antebellum-era clothing (inspired by her drawings of chairs) to the object-filled vessels that are carried during the performance.
Roger Moss presents solo concert
4 p.m. May 4. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1802 Abercorn St. Noted local baritone Roger Moss will present a recital of German lieder, arias, spirituals and American art songs, accompanied by Anne Acker. Admission is $10 at the door.
Saint-Saëns and Beethoven
7:30 p.m. May 4. Lucas Theatre for the Arts. The Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra will present its 2012-13 season finale concert on May 4 at the Lucas Theatre. The evening’s exhilarating repertoire will feature two works by one of the most famous and influential composers of all time, Ludwig van Beethoven, including his “Coriolan Overture” and the humorous “Symphony No. 4.” The cost is $16-$65 per person. Gospel Inspiration Concert to benefit the ADA

The Gospel Voices of Savannah, directed by the Rev. Clarence “Teddy” Williams, will perform, and the concert will feature gospel artist “The Maestro” Kenneth Lowe of Atlanta. Radio host E. ‘She Kills Monsters’
May 4-5. Mondanaro Theater, 217 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Savannah College of Art and Design’s performing arts department will open its spring season May 2, with the comedy “She Kills Monsters,” by Qui Nguyen. Directed by Martin Noyes, the play runs May 2-5 at Mondanaro Theater. In “She Kills Monsters,” boring Agnes’s life is turned upside-down by the loss of her family in a car accident. Bereft, she stumbles upon her late sister’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, embarking on an action-packed quest to save her sister’s soul. Performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. May 2-4 and 3 p.m. May 5. ‘Discovering 1820s Savannah: Early Birds Walking Tour of the City Isaiah Knew’
8 a.m. May 4, 11, 18, 25. Davenport House Museum, 324 E. State St. See what survives of the 1820s Savannah that master builder Isaiah Davenport knew. Beginning at the Davenport House Museum, built in 1820, participants will walk by some of the finest examples of preservation in the city and learn about what no longer remains. Topics will include the Great Fire of 1820, the yellow fever epidemic of 1820, Lafayette’s visit to Savannah in 1825 and the celebrations surrounding the 50th anniversary of the United States in 1826.
