The landscape of hipster street style in Savannah has made itself increasingly more apparent in the past couple years.
When I came to Savannah in 2009, I was sort of disappointed in the lack of streetwear shops in this art-inclined city. The only spots for hipster threads was Urban Outfitters, Civvies or Clothing Warehouse. But that changed last year with the grand opening of Elev8ed Urban Supply Company.
A barely visible streetwear presence was suddenly on full-blast. Hipster streetwear go-tos are snap backs and five-panel caps, a dope pair of sneakers, a loud pair of socks, rolled-up jean cuffs, fixed gears bikes, and the list goes on.
Street style is how you give a passersby a glimpse into your personality in those few seconds your paths cross on your daily commute.
