ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — The University of Georgia's cheerleaders are visiting New York for an appearance on early morning TV.
The Georgia cheerleading squad will appear on NBC's "Today Show" on Monday.
The Athens Banner-Herald (http://bit.ly/11wmMnl ) reports the UGA squad was the only collegiate group chosen to appear on the show's "Varsity Week."
The Bulldogs are sending 12 cheerleaders and one mascot to New York City to do a one-minute routine at Rockefeller Plaza. They'll also appear before and after commercial breaks.
Producers selected participants based on videos from the 2012 and 2013 NCAA Collegiate National Championships.
