The Effingham County Sheriff’s Office still needs the public’s assistance in finding an armed robbery suspect.
Deputies are continuing their search for Antonial Kirkland, 18, of Springfield, who is considered to be armed and dangerous.
On April 30, deputies responded to an armed robbery on Ga. 30 where the victim was robbed and struck with a pistol.
An Effingham County Sheriff’s deputy spotted the suspect’s vehicle traveling on Blue Jay Road. After a pursuit, the vehicle crashed into a pond and the suspects fled on foot.
Leon Clemmons Jr., 18, of Springfield, was caught that night and charged with armed robbery.
Kirkland is wanted for armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and several traffic-related charges.
Investigators have received information that since the incident, Kirkland is still in possession of a firearm.
