The Experience Tour and The Sandbox
June 16. Redeemer ELCA, 51 Wilmington Island Road. On June, 16, a group of more than 90 teens from Christ Lutheran Church in Charlotte, North Carolina will perform at Redeemer ELCA, a stop on their 2012 Experience Tour celebrating their mission to, tell the story, through contemporary music, choreography, drama and media.
Net proceeds from The Experience Tour will benefit The Sandbox, a non-profit based in Charlotte, North Carolina who locks arms with the community to walk with families whose children have cancer or life altering illnesses. Specifically, money raised from The Experience will benefit
‘An Evening of Believing’ prom, held on September 28, 2012. This prom is for 13-21 year-old patients of area hospitals battling cancer or life altering illnesses and their escorts.
Savannah High School Class of 1967 Reunion

Chatham CARE Center to offer free HIV testing in June
10 a.m.-2 p.m. June 16. Benjamin Van Clark Park, Live Oak and Park Avenue. The Chatham CARE Center, will offer free HIV testing at several locations in June in observance of National HIV Testing Day. Testing will be done without the use of a needle and those tested will get results in 20 minutes. A follow-up visit will be scheduled for anyone who tests positive and counseling will be made available to those individuals.
Monthly meeting of the National Federation of the Blind

A Midsummer Night’s Play Festival 2012
8 p.m. June 16. Muse Arts Warehouse. On June 16, at the Muse Arts Warehouse, will host “A Midsummer Night’s Play Festival 2012.” This is a 24 hour 10 minute play festival, where all the plays are written, staged and performed in twenty-four hours. The event is sponsored by the UpStart Theatre Company. ADA and APA Inaugural Benefit Pool Tournament
June 16 and June 17. The Big Cheesy, 726 East Oglethrope, Hinesville. The 20th annual American Diabetes Association’s Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes fundraising campaign and the American Poolplayers Association are hosting an Inaugural Pool Tournament Saturday and Sunday, June 16 and 17 at The Big Cheesy, in Hinesville. Registration for the tournament is $25 per player with a progressive pot, prizes including a Keith Josey Jump/Break Cue, and raffles. The tournament format will be a modified single elimination, with APA rules. $10 from each NEW membership will be donated to the American Diabetes Association. Citywide outreach rally to stop crime
6 p.m. June 16, 23, 30. Rousakis Plaza, River Street. Calling all Savannah Churches of all races to participate in the City Wide Outreach Crime Rally. Souls of Christ is calling every believer, join the army of the Lord at this crucial hour and God will reward you. The outreach rallies will be held at 6 p.m. June 16; June 23; and June 30 at Rousakis Plaza on River Street. All members of the community are invited to participate. Meetings will be held everyday from June 8- June 30 at Calvary Baptist Church on Waters Avenue and at the May Street YMCA. The meetings begin at 9 a.m.

Harley Owners Group to host Black-n-Blue Ball
7 p.m.-midnight. June 16. Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum. The Savannah Chapter of the Harley Owners Group will host the Black-n-Blue Ball to benefit the local Muscular Dystrophy Association. Dinner, soft drinks, and dessert will be served from 7:15-9:30 p.m. There will also be a cash bar, live auction, and live entertainment. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the door.
