FORT STEWART SOLDIER KILLED
The Department of Defense announced Friday the death of a soldier who was killed May 14 while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom in Sanjaray, Afghanistan.
Sgt. 1st Class Jeffrey C. Baker, 29, of Hesperia, Calif., died of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.
He was assigned to 766th Ordnance Co., 63rd Ordnance Battalion, 52nd Ordnance Group, Fort Stewart.
