HINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) — A hearing is set to examine evidence against a former soldier charged in connection with an anti-government militia that authorities say was led by soldiers from Fort Stewart in Georgia.
WTOC-TV reports (http://bit.ly/QGvMMG ) that Christopher Jenderseck is to appear in court in Liberty County Monday. He and four others are accused of burglaries and other crimes prosecutors say were intended to fund the militia.
Four Fort Stewart soldiers were charged in August with killing Roark and York in December. Authorities say they belonged to a militia group that planned various terrorist attacks in the U.S.
Jenderseck, who's from Minnesota, was arrested last month on the campus of Bismarck State University in North Dakota, where school officials said he was studying nursing. His enlistment ended in April.
