The Toast-Us City’s craft beer star is about to shine a little brighter.

At 8 p.m. tonight, World of Beer will open its doors at 112 W. Broughton St., smack in the middle of the historic district’s open-container area. It’s the Tampa, Fla.-based franchise’s 25th location nationwide.

Savannah’s World of Beer will feature 62 taps with rotating brews, a selection of more than 500 bottled brews and live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Its usual hours, starting Wednesday, will be noon to 3 a.m. Monday-Saturday.

Tonight’s World of Beer opening is restricted to anyone who has “liked” the page on Facebook. Currently that includes 1,450 people. You can check out their Facebook page by clicking here.

Local singer/songwriter Eric Culberson, a City Market favorite, will provide music. And according to a press release from the company, all guests who sign up tonight for World of Beer’s Loyalty Card will receive 25 percent off all bottle brands from open to close.

World of Beer expects to open another 20 locations throughout the country by the end of 2012.

“We have an exciting brand that has truly connected with the consumer,” says CEO Ben Novello. “Our brand is at a stage in its growth where it continues to attract considerable attention.”
