A Savannah woman was killed early Sunday when she lost control of her car on Interstate 95 in Jacksonville, Fla., and struck a median concrete barrier, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Elizabeth Murray Case, 24, was southbound on Interstate 95 just north of Emerson Street at the time of the crash, about 3:40 a.m., according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
She drove off onto the grass median and apparently tried to steer back onto the roadway, but lost control, crossed all the southbound lanes. The front end of the car struck the concrete barrier, according to the release.
