The FBI and CrimeStoppers are asking for help identifying two suspects in Wednesday Coastal Georgia bank robberies.
The first suspect robbed the Savannah Bank at 409 Waters Avenue in Savannah about 9:45 a.m. that day. He is described as black male around 25 to 30 years old with a medium complexion, said CrimeStopers spokeswoman Catherine Neal. He was wearing a black v-neck shirt, blue shoes and a straw hat at the time of the robbery. Surveillance tape outside the bank captured photos of him just before the robbery.
The second suspect is accused of robbing The Heritage Bank on Butler Street in Midway about 3:20 p.m. that same day. Neal said he is described as a dark-skinned black male between 25 and 35 years old. He was wearing a black v-neck shirt and blue and white athletic shoes. A gray Crown Victoria was seen leaving the area of the robbery at a high rate of speed.
A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest in these cases, Neal said.
