ATLANTA — Authorities say much of central and south Georgia will once again be under a flash flood watch as more heavy rains are expected.
The watch includes the cities of Americus, Dublin, Macon, Milledgeville and Vidalia. It is scheduled to be in effect from noon Tuesday through Tuesday evening.
National Weather Service forecasters say abundant moisture and a nearly stationary front across middle Georgia will result in the potential for heavy rainfall on Tuesday. Rainfall amounts from 1 to 3 inches occurred across much of the area Monday, and another 1 to 3 inches with isolated higher amounts will be possible again Tuesday afternoon and evening.
