UPDATE: Shooting suspect, Antwan Arkeem Hayward was taken into custody by the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department Monday night.
Detectives are asking the public’s help in locating a man they suspect in a shooting late last month.
Investigators believe 24-year-old Antwan Arkeem Hayward of Savannah is responsible for a July 30 shooting at the intersection of West 34th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, said Eunicia Baker, Savannah-Chatham police spokeswoman.
Police describe Hayward as a thin black man who stands about 6 feet tall and has shoulder-length dreadlocks. Hayward is known to frequent Savannah’s Cuyler-Brownville neighborhood, Baker said.
Police ask anyone with information on the case to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020 or text CRIMES (74637). Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
