Six people were arrested Saturday on drug charges following a joint investigation between the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team and the Savannah-Chatham police department.
Early Saturday morning, metro police received a complaint of possible drug activity at a hotel in the 300 block of Canebrake Road, said Gene Harley, CNT spokesman. There, members of metro’s K-9 unit identified the room suspected of the criminal activity and made contact with numerous persons inside.
With the assistance of CNT, a search warrant was obtained for the room, resulting in the seizure of methamphetamine, marijuana and Oxycodone pills, Harley said.
CNT agents arrested 33-year-old David Walker, 32-year-old David Lane, 20-year-old Erin Herrmann, 34-year-old Chadwick Graham, 19-year-old Hunter Dempsey and 25-year-old Katherine Kwiej.
All persons were charged with felony drug charges and are currently being held at the Chatham County jail awaiting arraignment.
The seized narcotics have an estimated street value of up to $3,300, Harley said.
