Christ Church’s rector, Michael S. White, rings the Revere & Sons bell Wednesday at the time of impact of each of the four plane crashes that occurred on September 11, 2001.
As he rang the bell, Fr. White read the following prayers from the Book of Common Prayer: the Prayer of St. Francis and prayers for those who have died; for those who mourn; for the nation; for those in our armed services; and for peace.
The bell was cast in 1819 and has remained in Christ Church since that time.
