Savannah-Chatham police Tuesday afternoon asked for the public’s help to locate a man wanted for questioning in connection with a Sept. 1 double homicide.
Investigators want to question 30-year-old Sidney Grant in connection to the early morning shooting deaths of 30-year-old Michael Biancosino and 21-year-old Emily Pickels, said Julian Miller, police spokesman.
The pair was gunned down inside Biancosino’s car near Pickels’ Henry Street apartment about 3:45 a.m.
Police earlier this month arrested 32-year-olds Walter Moon and Kiawana Williams on charges related to the case. Moon, who was out on parole at the time, was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and one count of possession of marijuana. Williams was charged with four felony counts of making false statements to police and a count each of possession of a firearm by a probationer and theft by receiving stolen property.
Murder charges have not been filed in the case.
Grant, Miller said, is also wanted by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office for probation violation.
Miller asked that anyone who may know Grant’s location to immediately contact police. A reward of up to $12,500 — $2,500 from Crimestoppers and $10,000 from private donations — is available for information that leads to solving the case, Miller said.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crimestoppers at 912-234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). In the body type, include “CStop2020” plus the tip. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for the cash reward.
