Savannah-Chatham police today asked for the public’s help in locating a man for questioning in connection to a woman’s Wednesday evening death at a southwest Chatham County apartment complex.
Melithia Singleton, 36, was found dead inside her residence at Bradley Pointe Apartments, in the 1300 block of Bradley Boulevard off Ogeechee Road, after officers were called there about 6 p.m., said Gena Bilbo, police spokeswoman.
Detectives are investigating the incident as a suspicious death, she added.
Police are attempting to locate 43-year-old Thomas Montrell Jackson, Bilbo said. He is described as a 5’ 8” 280 pound black male.
Bilbo said investigators are also searching for Singleton’s vehicle, a black 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport with Georgia license plate BYB9395, that was missing from the apartment complex.
Anyone with information about the missing vehicle or Jackson’s whereabouts is asked to call Crimestoppers at 912-234-2020 or text CRIMES (274637). In the body type, include “CStop2020” plus the tip. Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
