Miss Black Savannah Jordan Riles wins Miss Black Georgia USA Pageant

If you don't already recognize Jordan Riles as your reigning Miss Black Savannah, then maybe you remember her as Miss Savannah State University 2010-2011. She was also crowned the Miss Ebony Fashion Fair scholarship winner and recipient in 2008.

And now Riles is the winner of the 2013 Miss Black Georgia USA Pageant after competing in the annual event in Macon on Saturday. 

Contestants in the pageant were judged in five categories. 

-Talent (25%)
-Sports Wear/Fitness (15%)
-On-stage Q&A (25%) 
**Only the Top 5 were judged in the following two categories: 
-Panel Interview (20%)
-Evening Gown (15%)   

About Miss Black Georgia USA Pageant: The Miss Black Georgia USA Pageant is an affiliate of The Miss Black USA Pageant and Scholarship Foundation, Inc., a non-profit corporation in the state of Maryland, recognized under the 501(c)3 code of the Internal Revenue Service. It is the mission of the Miss Black Georgia USA system to provide a primary source of scholarship money to the African American young ladies of the State of Georgia and also to provide a venue for the ladies to promote their platforms.  

The Miss Black USA Pageant and Scholarship Foundation, Inc., was founded in 1986 by Karen Arrington.The Miss Black USA Pageant is a community-driven organization and is committed to addressing health and education, two leading social issues in the African American community. The winners of the official "Miss Black USA" state pageants will use her civic platform to promote awareness of these issues during her reign.

The Executive State Director for Miss Black Georgia is Curtia Moon. She resides in Rockford, Alabama. She is married to Bradgel Moon and they have three children, Mon'Tia, Xavier, and Kaziyah.
