How do you keep up with the star-studded cast of rock flick "CBGB" as it films this month in Savannah?
As many have tried, you can chase their surprise camera sessions throughout the historic district (and brave the upper-90s heat). But the easiest way is simply to follow them on Twitter, where several of the actors have been liberal with Hostess City praise.
"LOVE this town," tweeted Freddy Rodriguez on Monday afternoon. Earlier in the day, the former "Six Feet Under" actor -- who plays a junkie in the CBGB pic -- broadcast a photo from Ellis Square. "Shout out to #GalleryExpresso for making me feel like I'm back in Chi-Town."
And as first reported by Savannah Morning News columnist Bill Dawers, actresses Ashley Greene and Stana Katic have given Savannah props on Twitter, too.
"It's 99 degrees today in Savannah," Greene tweeted, "and I can't say I mind it. ... Feels like home. #Floridian." The "Twilight" actress later added: "Savannah is breathtaking."
Katic, of ABC's hit show "Castle," has tweeted photos of fried green tomatoes and other Savannah delicacies.
But the best CBGB-in-Savannah tweet so far definitely goes to actor Ryan Hurst ("Sons of Anarchy"), who plays a biker who frequents the New York club founded by Hilly Kristal, played by Alan Rickman, one of two "Harry Potter" stars in the Unclaimed Freight Productions film.
Tweeted Hurst: "Played chess with Snape today. #winning"
