A Savannah woman was arrested Tuesday in connection to a drug arrest made earlier this week.
Demetria Brown, 43, of Savannah, was charged by the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team with trafficking heroin and reckless conduct for having the drugs and drugs related items within reach of the juvenile children. The same charges were made against Zachary Myers, 48, of Savannah, who was arrested Friday.
Agent Gene Harley said Brown was present at the time of the search warrant on Friday and that the investigation showed Brown lived at a residence with Myers. Also present at the time of the search warrant were three children ranging between 5- and 7-years-old, police said.
Brown was arrested at her residence at 1128 East 38th Street and Myers was served with the additonal charges at the Chatham County jail were both remain. On Friday morning, CNT agents seized $4,000 worth of heroin and more than $2,900 in cash at the address. Myers was charged with the sale of controlled substances and use of a telecommunication device.
Brown and Myers are expected to be arraigned today, however neither person is eligible for a bond.
Tuesday's arrest of Brown was her 29th arrest in Chatham County, 10th drug-related charge and third arrest by CNT.
