“GCB Community Keeping the Unity”

The conference will focus on unity in the disability community and how to overcome problems associated employment, transportation, and advocacy in the disability community. Nicholsonboro Baptist Church, 13319 Coffee Bluff Road. Nicholsonboro Baptist Church will celebrate the church’s 162 anniversary Aug. 1- Aug. 3. The culminating service will be held Aug. 5 at 3 p.m. On Aug. 1 the guest churches will be Mount Herman Baptist Church and Second Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Arthur Best III will deliver the message. On Aug. 2 the guest churches will be Zion White Bluff Baptist Church and St. Thomas AME Church. Lewis Wilson will deliver the message. On Aug. 3 the guest churches will be First Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Jerome Baker will deliver the message. The Rev. H. Thrope of Peaceful Zion Baptist Church will deliver the message for the culmination service Aug. 5.

Adopters and foster parents needed
The Humane Society for Greater Savannah is experiencing an unexplainable increase in the number of surrendered pets. With the extreme number of dogs surrendered at one time, the staff and volunteers at the Humane Society of Greater Savannah are hoping to enlist the public’s help by spreading the word about these great adoptable dogs. All our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on shots, have been given a heart worm test, and micro-chipped. The adoption process also includes a free initial vet visit in the Greater Savannah area with the vet of choice, and 30-day coverage with Shelter Care pet insurance.
