For the past 10 years, Patricia has been very sick. She suffers from a medical disorder that forced doctors to perform stomach surgery 10 times.
Her health problems have prevented her from keeping a steady job over the past decade. Few employers want to keep someone on the payroll who is likely to miss a lot of work.
Patricia has done everything she can to provide for her 14-year-old daughter.
She sees her daughter as someone who does not want for much and asks for even less. She is a good student and is always thankful. Each year, she hopes she can give her daughter something she deserves: A wonderful Christmas. Each year, she’s mostly disappointed.
The Empty Stocking Fund exists to help put smiles on the faces of children in our community during the holiday season. Contributions will be acknowledged in the manner requested by donors.
