A Savannah man was arrested and charged with burglary after stealing a cellphone, then accidentally sending a photo of himself to the victim's Facebook page, according to Savannah-Chatham police.

On Nov. 21, police say, Timothy Jerell Jackson, 18, broke into a vehicle in the 500 block of Charlton Lane and stole two phones that belonged to Lori Uhr of Florida. About 3 p.m. the next day, Uhr noticed a photo pop up on her Facebook account. She told police her phone is set up to automatically upload photos that are taken with it.

Uhr turned the photo over to police, and a detective with the Downtown Precinct identified Jackson from the picture, according to police. The detective checked on Jackson's whereabouts and discovered he was currently on probation.

Jackson was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree burglary.
