A police detective testified on Thursday that slaying victim Melithia Singleton was found dead on her bed Halloween by her two small children.
Savannah-Chatham police detective Charles M. Pugh III testified Singleton, 36, was seen with her boyfriend, Thomas Montrell Jackson earlier Oct, 31 at a blood-donation site and Cash America Pawn on Victory Drive where she pawned a lap top to pay bills.
Jackson, 43, was bound to Superior Court on a murder charge after a preliminary hearing before Chatham County Recorder’s Court Judge Harris Odell Jr.
He will remain in the Chatham County jail without bond until prosecutors take his case before the grand jury for indictment.
