HULL, Ga. (AP) — Authorities in a small northeast Georgia town are trying to figure out why someone has been leaving the severed heads of dogs on a family's front porch.
The Osburn family told sheriff's officials that dog heads were found on the front steps of the family home in Hull for two straight days on Nov. 23-24.
Madison County sheriff's officials are investigating a possible motive.
Zachary Osburn tells The Athens Banner-Herald (http://bit.ly/SjQ547) that his sister was leaving for work Nov. 23 and encountered the head of a black dog at the foot of the steps. Osburn said she was so shaken that she couldn't go to work. Osburn said he found another head there the next day.
He said both heads were positioned at the steps when someone was home.
