Friday afternoon, a Facebook user going by the name of Nolan Daniels claimed to be one of the two winners of Wednesday's record $588 million Powerball jackpot.

The user had posted a photo that appeared to show him holding a ticket with winning numbers: 5, 16, 22, 23, 29, PB 6. The photo was posted about 10 p.m. Thursday.

In the post, the only one that was publicly visible on his account, Daniels wrote: "Looks like I won't be going to work EVER!!!! Share this photo and I will give a random person 1 million dollars!" Daniels' later comments on the post indicated he lives in the Phoenix area.

As of 3 p.m. Friday, the post had been shared more than 40,000 times.

The two Powerball winners remain publicly anonymous. Winning tickets were sold at a convenience store in suburban Phoenix and a gas station in Dearborn, Mo., just off Interstate 29, the highway linking Kansas City to the Canadian border. During Wednesday's Powerball frenzy, tickets sold at a rate of 130,000 a minute nationwide.
