SOUTH CAROLINA (WABC) -- One mother was hurt when chaos broke out among parents lined up early to register their children for classes at a South Carolina elementary school.
WABC reports (http://bit.ly/VwYwKf) that the first come, first serve admissions event turned into a mad dash at AJ Whittenberg, the district's only elementary school with engineering curriculum.
One mother fell to the ground and was hospitalized.
The mother's injury wasn't serious, and her child did get a spot at the school. The district says there were no other incidents as parents lined up at dozens of other schools.
