ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — Divers have returned to the Frederica River, searching for evidence in the death of Glynn County Commissioner Tom Sublett.

The Florida Times-Union reports (http://bit.ly/ZIpvao) that the underwater search resumed Monday after a break for the weekend.

Officials say the Georgia Department of Natural Resources was using sonar to search for evidence, and divers worked around a public fishing dock and pier near the spot where a friend found Sublet's car.

Sublett's body was found Dec. 11 in the river near St. Simons Island after he failed to return home from an evening poker game with friends. An autopsy determined Sublett was shot in his head before drowning, but the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has not ruled his death a homicide.

The Glynn County Police Department is offering $25,000 for information.
