Lions Club Fundraiser
6 p.m. Aug. 17. Oglethorpe Speedway Park. Fun for the whole family! The Pooler Lions Club will hold a fundraiser Aug. 17 at Oglethorpe Speedway Park. Racing begins at 8 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $10 and available from Lions Club members, Ameris Bank, Godley Station and Coastal Bank. Tickets will be $12 at the gate. All proceeds go toward the purchase of back to school supplies for local children in need.

Twilight by the Lake at Tom Triplett Park
5-10 p.m. Aug. 17. Tom Triplett Park, 100 Tom Triplett Road, Pooler. Shadow Warriorz, a non-profit organization will host an outdoor evening of fun and relaxation free for the community at a public park. There will be jazz, poetry and more. The community is invited to bring their chairs, or blankets, food and the family. Take a romantic stroll around the lake, fish, relax and enjoy the entertainment, and make purchases from the vendors.

Pottery Classes
Savannah’s Clay Spot, 1305 Barnard St. Check of all the new fun pottery classes being held this fall at Savannah’s Clay Spot. New classes offered to adults, teens, kids, and parent/child duo classes. Visit www.savannahsclayspot.com for classes offered. Classes start Sept. 5.

Summer Skate Night in Port Wentworth
6-8 p.m. Aug. 17. P.B Edwards Jr. Gymnasium, Port Wentworth. Summer Skate Nights will be held at the P.B Edwards Jr. Gymnasium in Port Wentworth June 8, July 20 and August 17. Ages 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. If you have your own skates or roller blades you can bring them. Please no skate boards. Concessions will be available. The cost is $5.
