Savannah-Chatham police arrested a 29-year-old Monday after detectives determined he was trying to sell stolen camera equipment on Craigslist.
Through the website, a Downtown Precinct detective set up a meeting with Troy Ladon Johnson to view the camera believed to be an item stolen from a recent college graduate in August..
The detective determined the item was the camera that was stolen as the victim loaded a trailer near East Gaston and Price streets. Johnson was charged with theft by receiving stolen property.
Other camera equipment stolen in the same incident totally about $2,500 was located at a pawn shop.
