A 27-year-old Anchorage, Alaska, woman was killed Friday night when she walked into the path of a vehicle on Interstate 95.
Angela Velvet Reynolds, who has been living at a King George Boulevard address, was declared dead on the scene in the northbound lanes of I-95 south of the Highway 204 interchange about 11:15 p.m.
Officers with the Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department found she was riding in a car that had stopped on the interstate. She exited the vehicle and walked into the path of a Nissan Pathfinder driven by a Savannah woman.
MAIT continues to investigate.
